Hi,
I've just downloaded php-5.3.1 and have extracted the files but now have no idea what to do with them. In truth I don't even really understand whether PHP is some sort of program I need to get running or whether it runs in the background or what!? Help would be appreciated, thanks.
James.

4D WebSTAR V for Mac OS X supports the default CGI compile of PHP.
Note that most compile instructions for PHP on Mac OS X are specific to the Apache server.
